Well, it looks like we won’t be returning to the world of Ni no Kuni as soon as we thought. Bandai Namco announced today that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has been delayed to January 19th, 2018. This delay includes both the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game.
President and CEO of Level-5 and also director of the game, Akihiro Hino, made this statement:
We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to our fans. I deeply apologize to those who have been looking forward to the game’s release. Please rest assured, however, that we will continue to strive to provide a deep and satisfying single player experience that our fans can look forward to enjoying.
Furthermore, Hino also released a special message on Youtube, announcing the delay and clarifying that the game will not have online multiplayer:
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was originally set to release on November 10th.
