Splatoon 2 is headed to the Switch this summer, but Inkopolis isn’t the same place in was when Splatoon launched back in 2015. According to Nintendo Treehouse, which featured the game in today’s Switch livestream, the game takes place two years after the original. While Splatoon had a relatively simple story, it had lots of depth thanks to the collectible Sunken Sea Scrolls and characters like Captain Cuttlefish and Agent 1 and 2. We may have gotten a few hints at the game’s story thanks to the debut trailer which featured a few Octarians and a quick shot of Marie, one half of the Squid Sisters, at the end.
