It’s been 24 years since the critically acclaimed Carrier Command came out for computers way back in 1988. Carrier Command: Gaea Mission—the spiritual successor to the classic title—is a FPS/RTS hybrid set in the Gaea Universe and shipped yesterday for the Windows PC and Xbox 360.Gaea Mission was developed by Bohemia Interactive of ARMA fame and was published in the United States by the amazing Rising Star Games. They already have a history of localizing great games for the Europe/PAL region. Rising Star Games opened up shop last January here in the U.S., so look forward to them being a name for localization efforts here in North America in the future; I know I am!
That aside, one last thing: SWEEEEEEEEET! It’s about time Carrier Command got rebooted, and yes, I’m old enough to have played the original.
