Code Geass | Collector's Edition

A new Home Video release to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Code Geass.

At AX 2016, Funimation announced that Code Geass would be receiving a home video release on Blu-ray. Both Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and Code Geass R2 will be made available on Blu-ray on October 4, 2016.

The release coincides with the 10th anniversary of the series. For this Blu-ray release, a new Japanese 5.1 surround sound audio mix will be used. This is the same audio mix used for the recent Japanese box sets. All of the music and sound effects for the show have been completely re-recorded. The re-recording was done under the supervision of director Goro Taniguchi.

The Blu-ray release will feature both the original Japanese voices and the original English dub.

The home video release will come in a Collector’s Edition and standard edition Blu-ray or DVD. Both seasons will be offered separately for the standard edition releases.

Code Geass | Chipboard Box

The Collector’s Edition will come in a chipboard box accentuated with metallic ink. It will come with 16 art cards by manga artists, CLAMP. The art on the card was previously only available in Japan-only art book.

Pre-orders for both the Collector’s and standard edition of the Blu-ray will go live on July 15th.
