It appears that Trails developer Falcom is finally getting on the PS4 train, first with Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dama and now Tokyo Xanadu eX+, which is an enhanced port of Tokyo Xanadu, which released last year in Japan exclusively for PS Vita.
As revealed in this week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation, the new port adds an exclusive after story not present in the PS Vita release. This after story takes place several months following the main game, and there are also exclusive character side stories for all characters bar Kou. Additionally there are new playable characters such as White Shroud and “Technique Unleashed State Asuka.” For those who like a challenge, there is also a “Calamity” difficulty mode added to the game, to go alongside the “Beginner, Normal, Advanced and Elite” difficulty modes. However there will be no cross-save functionality with the PS Vita version.
Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is due to release in Japan on September 8th for 6,480 yen. No word on a localisation for either version of this game, though I’m hoping we get one.
