A multitude of information has been revealed for Kodokawa Games’ upcoming visual novel project, Root Letter, this week.
Firstly, let’s start with the games release date, which will be June 16th in Japan for PS4 and PS Vita. It will be released for 4,800 yen (about $42 USD), with a limited edition also on offer for 7,800 yen (about $70 USD). Inside the limited edition will be a retail copy of the game, an artbook and a soundtrack CD.
Here’s a look at the game’s final box art for both platforms.
Next up is a new trailer released for the game over on Kadokawa Games’ official YouTube channel.
The voice actors have also been unveiled (voice actor’s names in brackets).
Aya Fumino (Noriko Hidaka)
Yukari Ishihara (Kikuko Inoue)
Shiori Yoshioka (Yuko Minaguchi)
Masaya Watanabe (Shuusaku Shirakawa)
Riko Sasaki (Yumi Toma)
Finally, there was also a Famitsu preview of the title. Below is a gallery of the features. These are directly scanned, so the quality may not be as good as if they were direct screenshots.
Personally, this is one of my most anticipated visual novels this year. Hopefully, if the game still gets the global Western release that was promised before, this will be a great VN to play in 2016 alongside other bigger hits.
Root Letter is due to release for PS4 and PS Vita on June 16th in Japan.
