MinatoSoft recently released a demo for their upcoming game Shōjo-tachi wa Kōya wo Mezasu (The girls who aim for the wildlands, or ~Girls beyond the youth KOYA~). Along with the demo, another PV (promotional video/trailer) was also released revealing the game was greenlit for an anime adaptation. The anime will premiere in January 2016. The PV also introduced some of the staff as well as the voice cast for the anime. You can check out the PV below.
The voice cast will be reprising their roles from the game. The cast is as follows:
- Seiichirō Yamashita as Buntarō Hōjō
- Haruka Chisuga as Sayuki Kuroda
- Kana Hanazawa as Yūka Kobayakawa
- Satomi Akesaka as Teruha Andō
- Satomi Satou as Uguisu Yūki
- Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Atomu Kai
A synopsis for the game/anime is provided by ANN:
Buntarō is a student who wants to be something, but doesn’t know what. One day his female classmate Sayuki announces she is working on a bishōjo (pretty girl) game. Sayuki scouted him because he wrote a good script for drama club, but Buntarō doesn’t know anything about bishōjo games.
Project No.9 will produce the anime and Takuya Satō will direct it. Satō has previously worked on Selector Infected Wixoss, Steins;Gate and Mission-E. The scripts will be written by Yuniko Ayana. Ayana has previously worked on Bakuman., Hori-san to Miyamura-Kun and Kinmoza! Kiniro + Mosaic. The original scenario for the game was written by Romeo Tanaka. Matsuryū did the original character designs for the game and Takayuki Noguchi will adapt the character designs for the anime. Noguchi has previously worked on Queen’s Blade 2: The Evil Eye, Ro-Kyu-Bu!, and Papillion Rose. Takahiro is the original creator of Shōjo-tachi wa Kōya wo Mezasu and is planning the project. Takahiro is known as the creator of both Akame ga KILL! and Washio Sumi wa Yūsha de Aru. and was also the planner for Yuki Yuna Is a Hero.
The original game is part of MinatoSoft’s “Takahiro IV” Project. The project is focused around 4 titles written by Takahiro. The titles included in the project were the Akame ga KILL! anime based on Takahiro’s manga, the Washio Sumi wa Yūsha de Aru. novel, the Yuki Yuna Is a Hero (Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru.) anime, and the Shōjo-tachi wa Kōya wo Mezasu PC game which Takahiro helped create.

The Shōjo-tachi wa Kōya wo Mezasu game’s “Anime edition” will have a first print bonus which includes a Blu-ray disc which contains an OVA. The “youth adventure” game is set to release on March 25. The anime is set to premiere in Japan in January 2016.
