The Legend of Zelda has been one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises, yet the only adaptation it has ever had was a poorly remembered cartoon in the 1989. Supposedly, Netflix is working on a live-action adaptation for their original programming. Described as a Game of Thrones for a family audience, Netflix is supposedly working closely with Nintendo on the project.
The project is still very early in production, and is still looking for a writer. Netflix declined to comment, and Nintendo could not be reached, so an actual announcement is still some time away.
