After several delays, Pier Solar HD finally has a confirmed release date on September 30 for PlayStation 4, PS3, Steam and Ouya. Unfortunately, it seems as though the delays are not completely over, seeing as how we will not have a release date for Wii U, Xbox One and the Dreamcast homebrew version until next month. For those who are unaware, Pier Solar was a homebrew RPG developed for the Sega Genesis in 2010 that has an obvious inspiration from 16-bit JRPGs. It was well-received by those who played it, but it was, unfortunately, not easily available to many people. The HD remake was announced in 2012 in an attempt to, hopefully, make the game available to a wider audience, and to improve upon the original.
