During Tokyo Game Show, Bethesda has released a Japanese trailer for Shinji Mikami’s upcoming game The Evil Within, or Psycho Break as it’s called in Japan. Check it out below.
WARNING: Be prepared for blood, blades, and… slow-mo stumbling?
Shinji Mikami is best known for his work on the Resident Evil series. The series is currently in a slump due to the series most recent numbered release, Resident Evil 6. As such, expectations are high for The Evil Within. Fans of the survival horror genre are hoping that Mikami has created a game more akin to the popular Resident Evil 4, which Mikami had worked on as well. As evident by this trailer, The Evil Within should have plenty of horror elements to sate these fans. Will it be enough? We’ll see.
The Evil Within will be released for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC on October 14th in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. Australia will get it on October 16th.
