You may remember our Impressions piece on Freedom Planet from last Fall. In case it slipped your mind (or you haven’t had a chance to look it over, which you can do here), Freedom Planet is a platformer from Galaxy Trail that was funded successfully via Kickstarter as of February 14th of this year. If platforming reminiscent of Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man is your thing, then you’re probably already looking forward to it. Unfortunately, Galaxy Trail announced today that the game’s release date has been pushed back a month. Freedom Planet will now be officially available on June 30th for PC and Mac.
Thankfully, there are no negative circumstances causing the delay. The extra time will be used to help promote the game and to perform additional testing for any bugs or glitches. It’s also extra time for incentives to make it to backers who supported the game during its Kickstarter campaign.
