Today, Sony Computer Entertainment America announced the PS4 will have 11 digital entertainment apps ready when the console launches November 15th in the United States and Canada. Included among them are Netflix, Crackle, and Crunchyroll.

Here is a list of available digital entertainment apps that will be available at launch:

  • Amazon Instant Video
  • Crackle
  • Crunchyroll
  • EPIX
  • Hulu Plus
  • NBA Game Time
  • Netflix
  • NHL GameCenter LIVE
  • Redbox Instant by Verizon
  • VUDU
  • YuppTV

[SCEA doesn’t say which of these will work in Canada. Amazon Instant Video, EPIX, Hulu, Redbox Instant, and VUDU currently do not provide service in Canada. Incidentally, NBA Game Time launched on the PS3 and Vita October 30, 2013, but currently does not work in Canada, only in the U.S. SCEA’s Jamaal Moore says the company is “looking to expand this product into other regions.”—Ed.]

Also, Sony Computer Entertainment Korea has announced the PlayStation 4 will make its South Korean debut December 17th and sell for ₩498,000 KRW (around $469.30 USD as of this writing). This is a few months before the console is due to launch in its home country of Japan.

Which of the 11 apps are you most excited to see? Okay, even if you aren’t excited, which will you likely use? I know Crunchyroll and Crackle are at the top of my list.
