In a press release put out by EastAsiaSoft they have announced they will be publishing Trigger Witch, a new game by Rainbite, developers of 2018’s Reverie.
Trigger Witch seems to be aiming (no pun intended) to combine a classic Zelda style action-adventure game with a twin-stick shooter. The player will explore an expansive world from a top down perspective, solve puzzles, meet a host of charming characters, and blast the hell out of waves of enemies. In addition to single player, you can also hand a controller over to a friend for some couch co-op action.
No firm release date has been set for Trigger Witch yet, but they’re looking to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch this summer. In addition to the digital release, EastAsiaSoft is also partnering with Playasia for a physical edition. Details on the whens and wheres will be released on a later date.

Action-adventure Trigger Witch Blasts onto Consoles
We are pleased to announce that we have picked up publishing rights for Rainbite’s upcoming top-down action-adventure Trigger Witch. In this worldwide partnership, eastasiasoft will publish Trigger Witch for release on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in Summer 2021.
Trigger Witch is a stylized 2D twin-stick action game from the creators of Reverie, set in an odd open world where magic is outdated and firearms are the new way of life. Players assume the role of Colette, a prospective graduate from the Stock, an academy for Witchcraft and Triggery. After a mysterious man invades her realm, events are set in motion that turn Colette’s life upside-down, casting her as the sole heroine with enough firepower to restore peace.
In addition to release on digital storefronts, physical editions will also be available for preorder through online retail partner Playasia. Further details on preorder dates, platforms and Limited Edition contents will be shared at a later date.
