Cygames has released a new trailer for the Arc System Works-developed fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus, showing off the six playable characters who had been revealed thus far. The trailer also announces the seventh character to join the roster: the Draph wrestler Ladiva.
The trailer can be seen below:
Based on the trailer, Ladiva looks like she’s (before you ask, this isn’t a typo; Ladiva’s gender is officially “other” but she is properly referred to by female pronouns) a fairly standard big-body grappler, basically similar to Guilty Gear’s Potemkin or Street Fighter’s Zangief. Similar to the other characters revealed thus far Ladiva comes with lots of personality, bringing her own flair to her array of wrestling-inspired moves and throws. It also shows a super attack of sorts for her, which seems to be Maximum Love Bomb, her charge attack from Granblue Fantasy; along with the unique expression each character makes when hit by the finishing kick.
Ladiva joins Gran, Katalina, Charlotta, Lancelot, Ferry, and the Lowain brothers in the game’s playable roster. Granblue Fantasy Versus is set for release later this year on PS4, with a closed beta announced earlier this week and set for the end of May.
