Nintendo announced on their Facebook page this morning that Smash Bros. Brawl veteran Lucas will be joining the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS roster next Sunday, June 14. Plans to bring Mother 3’s hero were first announced during the Nintendo Direct on April 1, though today is the first we’d heard anything new since then.
Lucas isn’t the only DLC coming to Smash Bros. next Sunday, though. In the same announcement, Nintendo also revealed that the Splatoon outfits for Mii Fighters shown during the May 7 Nintendo Direct will be made available to customers who pre-ordered the squid-based shooter.
Not only that, but the game’s Miiverse stage, first shown during the Smash Bros. Direct last October will also be downloadable alongside Lucas and the Inkling outfits.
The Lucas DLC will be available on June 14 starting at 8 a.m. PT, while the Splatoon outfits and Miiverse stage will be made available in a separate game update. The price point will be the same as the Mewtwo DLC before it; $3.99 for either the 3DS or Wii U version of the game or $4.99 for both.
