Koei Tecmo Europe announced on their Facebook page this morning that Samurai Warriors 4-II, the sequel to Samurai Warriors 4, will be making its way to North America and Europe this fall. The game’s story campaigns will focus on individual samurai this time, specifically the nine new characters that were introduced in Samurai Warriors 4, rather than clan-based campaigns. Koei Tecmo also promises that character growth and battles have been improved for this game. The sequel also includes a new survival mode, the Endless Castle, which appears to be reminiscent of the original Samurai Warriors‘ survival mode against its deadly, trap-filled castle floors.
Naomasa Ii will also be joining the roster as a new character (not to be confused with his mother, Naotara Ii, who was a newcomer in the previous game). You can watch the official announcement trailer below:
Samurai Warriors 4-II will release in North America on September 29 and Europe on October 2. It will be available on PS4, PS3, PS Vita and Steam.
