Just like the Limited Edition of the game itself, the Majora’s Mask New Nintendo 3DS XL sold out incredibly fast. Even if you were able to get an order in, you weren’t guaranteed the system as the demand was too high that GameStop, and Best Buy had to cancel a few orders for customers. It didn’t look like you could get a system without paying the outrageous scalper prices online on web sites like Amazon or eBay, and there have been some notorious articles about this since then. However, there have been rumors that Nintendo is in fact planning a second wave to meet this supply and demand.
First is that a few stores across the world, Italy’s GameStop website and Amazon UK have listed the Majora’s Mask New Nintendo 3DS XL for pre-orders. There is also claims that a Nintendo official has said this, which could be seen across a few sites, such as a member of Zelda Dungeon getting an email from Nintendo in response to a console problem he had that needed fixes. But we have not seen anything else like sites opening for pre-orders, or any official word and news from Nintendo themselves. More information should be incoming soon, and hopefully fans will have another opportunity at getting the Limited Edition New Nintendo 3DS.
