Publisher GungHo Online has released an opening movie for Game Arts’ Ragnarok Odyssey Online ACE, an updated version of last year’s Ragnarok Odyssey on the PlayStation 3 and Vita. According to Dengeki Online, this expanded version will have a new battle system called the “ACE Skill”, new items and weapons, extra dungeons, and much more — including extra bosses like Nidhogg, which you can see in the video.
The opening video starts with a large menacing creature filling the screen, and shifts to a montage of nonstop player-on-monster action before turning our attention to Nidhogg, the fire-breathing dragon and one of the secret bosses in this updated game. The battle will take place on a stage called Niflheim, at the Tower of the World Tree.
It will also be possible to transfer save data from the original game to the ACE version.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE will be released in Japan by GungHo Online this August 29th for PlayStation 3 and Vita. In North America, XSEED Games will be publishing this title for a winter release, and GungHo Online America is publishing it in Europe.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE will be presented at XSEED’s E3 booth, along with Killer Is Dead, and a handful of other diverse titles.
