I’m sure a lot of you will be pleased to see Tales of Xillia 2 top this week’s Media Create Sales chart. In just 4 days the game has managed to rack up an impressive number of 364.439 sales and is looking to continue its predecessor’s legacy of being the most sold game in the Tales franchise. As far as localisation goes, according to the series’ producer Hideo Baba, we’ll have to wait and see how the first Tales of Xillia fares in the western market when it arrives sometime next year.
Also topping this week’s charts are not one, but two HD remakes of PS2 games for the PS3; One being the wonderful Okami HD, which is already available on PSN here in the west, the other being the Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Edition. Although both Yakuza games already have English localisations on the PS2, there is currently no word on a western release of the HD edition.
Bravely Default is STILL up there pulling in the sales. There’s no denying that Square Enix has the money to send the game westward, it’s up to us to make sure they know it’s worth it.
