Soul Calibur VI

Soul Calibur VI

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced in a press release that Soul Calibur VI is coming to several different gaming systems in 2018. They include Xbox One, PC (Steam), and PlayStation 4. Fan-favorite warriors take to the arenas in one-on-one battles once more. Soul Calibur VI adds some new gameplay elements, like the Reversal Edge. After clashing with a foe in battle, it allows players to use powerful counter attacks based on their foe’s actions.

The original Soul Blade launched in arcades back in 1995, and since then Soul Calibur has been one of the top weapon-based fighting games in the 3D realm. Soul Calibur VI allows players to battle computer AI warriors, their friends, and countless players from around the world. Mark Religioso, the Brand Manager for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. commented on the game:

“The fast and kinetic gameplay of SOULCALIBUR is on full display in SOULCALIBUR VI. A stellar lineup of characters and weapons, combined with a simple control layout means gamers of all skill levels can jump into the action and decimate the competition.”

Soul Calibur VI takes place in the 16th century, allowing players to return to some of the events that took place in the original Soul Calibur game. In doing so, they may uncover some truths that were previously hidden. Bandai Namco Entertainment has also released a pile of screenshots of Soul Calibur VI:

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
