At the E3 2017 PC Gaming Show, 2K Games showed off a trailer for the upcoming expansion for XCOM 2, titled War of the Chosen. The trailer shows off the Chosen, the alien elites that will be the antagonists throughout the expansion. It also highlights the new classes, as well as the three new human factions in the resistance against the alien occupation.
The expansion also revisits occupied human cities, with new enemies called the Lost. The Lost are zombie-like enemies who move and fight mindlessly compared to the strategic AI. The Lost will appear endlessly throughout fights in cities, and will attack both human and alien units as they reach them.
