Serious Sam BD | Pretty colors

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Devolver Digital’s conference. First of all, this is pretty late for any show, but I enjoy their games, so I gave it a shot. After getting through the initially cringe-worthy then somehow hilarious banter and theater, they got to the games, and they all looked fantastic, but few so surprising as Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour. Yes, that Serious Sam, just in 2D, Smash TV style.

Serious Sam BD | Bloodshed

This game looks frenetic, violent, crazy and fun. It has hordes of hideous monsters, teamwork, and a torrent of bullets. Though there isn’t a release date or more details for Bogus Detour yet, it does look like it will be well worth the wait. It’s always nice to see the indie games overshadow some of the big studio work, and Devolver Digital has set a good precedent with this one.
