For those looking for a harrowing, emotional, riveting yarn to spin, publisher 505 Games will be publishing Ovosonico‘s latest, Last Day of June, later this year. Billed as an “profound interactive adventure” by its creators, Last Day of June concerns itself with Carl and June as they journey to save the day…and maybe June’s life as well. In this cinematic tale, you are challenged with, “What would you do to save the one you love?”.

Last Day of June marks the first such collaboration between a number of proven indie talents, including director Massimo Guarini (Murasaki Baby, the first release of developer Ovosonico), musician Steven Wilson, and animator Jess Cope (previously an animator on Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, which may have informed the game’s visual style to a degree).

Rather than launching on June 30th, the literal last day of June, Last Day of June launches on PlayStation 4 and PC sometime later in 2017.
