Vanquish

Vanquish is now available to download on Steam! To celebrate the launch, a developer diary was released by Sega, detailing some long-burning questions. Questions like, “Why did Director [Shinji] Mikami want to make a speedy action shooter? Where did Sam’s slide boosters come from? Why the dancing robots?” The diary sits down with producer Atsushi Inaba, animator Takaaki  Yamaguchi, and enemy programmer Noriyuki Otani.

Vanquish on PC supports 4K resolution with unlocked framerate. The game also supports fully customizable controls for mouse and keyboard. The mouse input does not include mouse acceleration. On the downside, the preorder Digital Deluxe Edition and 25% discount for owning Bayonetta has now expired due to the game’s launch.

Platinum Games and Sega originally released Vanquish back in 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was directed by Shinji Makami, famous for his work on the Resident Evil series.
