Project RE Fantasy

An interview with Katsura Hashino, director of Persona 5, revealed a brief look at his next game, Project Re Fantasy. The segment, appearing around 9 minutes into the video, shows artwork for various characters and settings. During the interview, Hashino remarks how creating a game set in reality can have its limitations, one of the reasons why newly-founded Studio Zero chose a fantasy world.

The meat of the interview deals with the development of Persona 5.  Katsura Hashino admits at one point that Atlus was in a bad spot during the game’s development, but he did not elaborate on this statement. He further discusses his inspirations and how the very district of Tokyo Atlus resides, Sangenjaya, helped shaped the setting of Persona 5.

Persona 5 releases in the North America and Europe April 4th on Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.
