Strike the Blood II | Key Visual

Warner Bros. Japan has streamed the first 3 minutes for Strike the Blood II. You can check out the beginning of the sequel anime below.

The company also streamed the opening sequence for the upcoming anime. The opening theme is titled “Blood on the EDGE” and is performed by Kishida Kyōdan & The Akeboshi Rockets. You can check out the opening sequence for the show below.

Strike the Blood II is a sequel to the first anime series that aired in 2013. It will be released in 4 two-episode volumes (a total of 8 episodes). The episodes will be released in both DVD and Blu-ray disc format. The first volume is set to release on November 23. The second volume is set to release on December 21, the third on March 29, and the fourth on April 26.

Most of the voice cast is returning for the sequel OVA series. The returning cast is as follows:

  • Yoshimasa Hosoya as Kojou Akatsuki
  • Risa Taneda as Yukina Himeragi
  • Asami Seto as Asagi Aiba
  • Rina Hidaka as Nagisa Akatsuki
  • Ikumi Hayama as Sayaka Kirisaka
  • Ryōta Ōsaka as Motoki Yaze
  • Kanae Itō as Kanon Kanase
  • Hisako Kanemoto as Natsuki Minamiya

Two new cast members are set to join the series. They are as follows:

  • Nao Tōyama as Yume Eguchi
  • Yukiyo Fujii as Kiriha Kisaki

Hideyo Yamamoto returns to direct the anime at SILVER LINK./CONNECT. Hiroyuki Yoshino will work on the series composition and Assumed Sounds will produce the music. Risa Taneda will perform the ending theme for the OVA series.

Strike the Blood | LN Vol 9

Strike the Blood II will begin with the story featured in the 9th volume of the light novel. It will take place in Blue Elysium, a resort facility located near Itogami Island. The light novel series is written by Gakuto Mikumo and illustrated by Manyako. It is published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. The novel currently has 15 volumes released.
