Hyrule Warriors Legends - A Link Between Worlds DLC
Hyrule Warriors Legends - A Link Between Worlds DLC
Ravio wields a hammer clumsily in the trailer, but he too can mow down crowds of bokoblins and stalfoses.

The trailer for the final Hyrule Warriors Legends DLC pack has been revealed. We already knew who the two characters were, but now we finally get to see them in action. The game’s A Link Between Worlds DLC pack will launch on Halloween with its two new warriors: Yuga and Ravio. It also adds the brand new Lorule adventure map, new fairy costumes, and of course a few more costumes for your warriors. For anyone wondering about whether we’re getting Challenge Mode like in the Wii U game, the trailer doesn’t mention it. So it looks unlikely unless it’s in the free patch alongside this DLC. If not, that’s too bad as playing as Beast Ganon was pretty fun.

Without further ado, here’s the trailer courtesy of GameXplain:

If you purchase this A Link Between Worlds DLC pack on its own, it will cost you $6.99 / £6.29 / €6.99 on Nintendo 3DS. On the Wii U version of the game, this DLC will cost you $4.99 / £4.49 / €4.99 when bought separately. It’s important to note that as with previous DLC packs, the Wii U version does not get the new adventure mode map. If you’ve already purchased the season pass, then you simply need to download the update when it comes out on Halloween day! As the new DLC pack is themed after The Legend Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (3DS game), both new warriors are from that game. Just to warn you, there are some minor spoilers for that game ahead, so stop now if you don’t want to read them.

If you’re still reading and played that game, you may remember that Ravio and Yuga are from Lorule, a sort of parallel dimension. It’s like a mirror image of Hyrule so things are kind of backwards in a way. Ravio is Lorule’s version of Link, and being Link’s opposite he has a lack of courage. He helps Link by running a shop that sells Link new items to help him progress on his quest. Yuga, on the other hand, is the villain – Lorule’s version of Ganondorf essentially. Yuga appears and sounds much more feminine than the usual villain, Ganondorf. However, dialog suggests that Yuga is a male. Lacking power is a huge problem, so Yuga steals a certain relic from Hyrule!

Are you excited about the new DLC? Did you get the season pass a long time ago? I actually got the season pass as soon as it was available, but I’m a bit of a Zelda nut so that’s not too surprising! Tell us which Hyrule Warriors Legends DLC pack is your favorite in the poll below. And let us know your thoughts and feelings about the game’s A Link Between Worlds DLC pack in the comments!

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
