Street Fighter V Juri

Street Fighter V Juri

Some exciting information came from Capcom today at the San Diego Comic Con, especially for us fans of the Spider Queen. It has been known for quite a while that Juri was the next fighter to be added to the roster, but now we have an official release date of July 26, 2016. They also provided a new trailer specifically for her. My Street Fighter IV waifu is looking great.

She does seem to have a little different feel to her move set in this game. She is even more quick and mobile than she was in the previous game, and her moves seem to be a bit quicker. Also there seems to be much less reliance on her projectiles. That said, however, I am very unsurprised to see her Feng Shui Engine make it in as her V-Trigger activation. That seemed already to be the model used as an influence for V-Triggers in this game already. The one thing I’m not sure of is her Critical Art. It looks like it will probably be pretty easy to combo into, and it is almost definitely an overhead. But having it just be a one hit move makes it infeasible to use as chip or to get you out of trouble. But I’ll have to wait for some hands on time.

We’ll keep you updated as the cast of Street Fighter V continues to grow, so keep checking back at Operation Rainfall.
