Shenmue III WIP

The release of Shenmue III is still quite a ways out, with a slated release in late 2017. However, the folks at YsNet understand that the wait can be cruel for Kickstarter backers and others awaiting that time, so they have kindly offered a glimpse of what the game is starting to look like early on in development. In addition to a handful of beautiful new screenshots depicting the world of Shenmue III, a video presented at MAGIC (the Monaco Anime Game International Conferences) showcased these landscapes running in-engine, both of which you can see below. There is not a terrible amount of footage there, but what is present looks stunning. The game looks to be coming along nicely, and a couple of the screenshots put character models in those gorgeous environments, and they fit right in. Here’s hoping Shenmue III can continue to be developed on schedule and not face any crippling delays!

Shenmue III is set to launch for PlayStation 4 and PC in December 2017. Let us know what you think in the comments below!
