While the Nintendo E3 Digital Event was extensive, it didn’t cover everything Nintendo is putting out. Nintendo has uploaded a bunch of trailers to YouTube. So, let’s take a look at them, one by one.

For the 3DS specifically, we have:

Gunman Clive 2

After the 3DS version of Gunman Clive outsold its mobile counterparts, it’s unsurprising that the sequel would be announced for the 3DS as well. It looks like more of the same, and that’s fine with me.

Woah Dave!

Choice Provisions (formerly Gaijin Games) next game is coming to a lot of platforms, and now it’s coming to 3DS as well.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy

We already knew that English was included in the original Japanese port of the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, so it seemed that it was only a matter of time before we got it. Now it has been announced, and it’s still nice to see.

Blast ‘em Up Bunnies

Defend yourself from psychotic bunnies in this 360 degree shooter. I don’t think there’s much more to say about it.

Persona Q

The Persona game with Etrian Odyssey systems is still looking good. We finally see some of the dialogue in English. Fall 2014 is looking more enticing all the time.

Tappingo 2

The critically acclaimed puzzle game is back, says the trailer. In the first game, you “Solve pixel art puzzles by making numbered blocks extend into lines. Sounds easy? Wait until you find out these lines keep running unless they hit something! Be smart and use other blocks and lines to stop the line at the correct length.” Sounds interesting.

Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL World Duel Carnival

 Yu-Gi-Oh just keep on coming.

Thorium Wars: Attack of the Sky Fighter

A sequel to the DSiWare game, Thorium Wars: Attack of the Sky Fighter looks to be a fully 3D dog fighting game. Looks interesting.

Moon Chronicles Episode 2

I wasn’t thrilled with the first episode of Moon Chronicles, but that was mostly due to the price. I’m legitimately interested to see where the game goes from here. Looks like I may not have long to wait.

That’s all for the 3DS specifically, so let’s move on to the Wii U.

Tengami

The gorgeous popup book puzzler continues to impress. I can’t wait to play it.

Teslagrad

Looking good. From the game’s website:

Teslagrad is a 2D puzzle-platformer, where you play as a young lad who suddenly finds himself embroiled in an ancient conflict that will shake the foundations of his entire existence, and bring a gruesome truth to light.

The game revolves around the use of electricity and magnetism, and your ingenuity will be put to the test as you employ the amazing technology of the Teslamancers to traverse the abandoned Tesla Tower. The game is completely devoid of both text and dialogue, and prefers to tell the story purely through visual means.

6180 the moon

Looks really interesting. This game is now on my radar. From the game’s website:

6180 the moon is a platformer game with a unique mechanic. It offers a fresh, unseen game play style by connecting the top and bottom of the screen. This allows in a mechanic with delightfully long jumps and no fear of “slipping” to death. In addition to the unique gameplay, 6180 the moon delivers a unique storyline. The Sun has gone. The Moon sets off on a journey to find the Sun. Along the journey will be hazardous courses and deep realizations.

Armillo

Another in the growing line of small eShop exclusive games by Nintendo. It looks… Wow.

Chariot

A new platformer with unique movement puzzles. I can dig it.

Cubemen 2

Uh, what did I just watch? I guess it’s a tower defense type game. I see good things mentioned in the trailer 9cross-platform multiplayer, anyone?), I just have no idea of how the game actually works.

ONE PIECE Unlimited World Red

While this is coming to 3DS and Wii U, it’s pretty clear that this trailer is based on Wii U footage.

PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures 2

Looks like an interesting 3D platformer in a time when 3D platformers are scarce. I hope this game is a least playable.

Pier Solar and the Great Architects

Nothing we haven’t seen before, but it shows off the Wii U specific features, so that’s something.

STARWHAL: Just the Tip

An arena fighter starring swordfish? Huh, might be fun.

Nihilumbra

A sidescroller in which you manipulate your environment. Interesting.

Wooden Sen’SeY

“Wooden Sen’SeY is an action-platformer, set in a unique “Japan Steam Rock” universe filled with humour. You follow Goro, a village chief, as he seeks revenge through a variety of levels. He will defeat his enemies using his axes to slice, dice, squash and grapple!” Okay, you’ve got my attention.

A.N.N.E.

“Metroidvania meets Space shooting!” says the developer. Now there’s a pitch I can get behind.

Now, for a trailer regarding both platforms:

Citizens of Earth

Yeah! I loved this pitch, so I’m so happy to see the game coming out. Now sure what to make of Atlus’s logo though.

Keep coming back for more E3 coverage.

Guy Rainey
I’m Guy Rainey. I’m a hardcore Nintendo fan, a PC enthusiast, and a Sony sympathizer. Also an amateur/aspiring game creator. I love any game that puts story as the main focus of the game, so that means JRPGs are my favorite genre almost by default.
