Operation Rainfall | Xenoblade Chronicles: Backordered?

According to GoNintendo.com, copies of Xenoblade Chronicles being sold from Nintendo’s online store are currently backordered. However, earlier reports state that it has been on ”backorder” since it was first put on sale on their site. Regardless of accuracy, it is fair to note that if it winds up being true the best option right now if you want to receive your copy day 1 is to pre-order from GameStop. While this news may be an inconvenience for you , on the bright side, the game is selling!

What does “backordered” mean? They’ve run out of copies to sell?

  Typically backordered means they ran out of copies and are waiting for more to come in. However ever since they were put on sale on their site people have said that their orders were “backordered” So basically “backordered” in this case might just simply mean pre-ordered. (Try and wrap your head around that, it is confusing, haha)

Hope it sells out everywhere and goes for a second print. I don’t expect it, but I hope so. There’s enough buzz around this game (thanks in large part to a certain movement that I won’t name, that starts with an “o” and ends with a “perationrainfall”) that it’s not impossible. We’ll see.

  I fully expect it to go for a second print. Rumors suggest pre-orders for both US and Canada could be as high as 300k!

Awesome. Do you think they’ll use American voice acters or leave it british?

  The game is based on the British version so we’re getting the British voices.
