New Trailer Confirms Project Happiness Has Become Hometown Story

Hometown Story, a project from the people who brought us Harvest Moon, is now 50 – 60% done. It is scheduled to be released sometime in 2013 to both the US and Europe by Natsume and Rising Star Games, respectively. It has been reported that it is for the Nintendo 3DS, and might eventually come to mobile phones as well.

The game itself will revolve around the main character maintaining and improving his store in a rural village, no doubt utilizing some of the same item management mechanics found in the Harvest Moon series. In the meantime, we can all enjoy this trailer, especially the narrator and the strange floating creature who looks suspiciously like a cross between Jumpluff and Cinccino…
