So I’ve covered Coolest and Cutest Robot Masters. A little fluff to get the juices flowing. Now for something more interesting, and a smidge darker. Sneaky isn’t usually a term I use to describe Mega Man characters, but you’ll find it more than applies to these robot masters. Keep reading to see why!

Robot Master No. 10: Pluto

Sneakiest Robot Masters | Top 10

It’s understandable if the majority of you aren’t familiar with this Robot Master. Pluto was one of the Star Droids from Mega Man V for the Game Boy, which is not to be confused with Mega Man 5 for the NES. It was the only Mega Man portable game to have a truly unique plot and bosses, and for that it is one of  my all time favorites. It was also extremely hard to find after the fact, and still sells for a steep price to this day. Another cool thing it did was to eschew the standard titles and instead named the bots after planets. So, you’re probably wondering why I call Pluto sneaky? Well, it’s the way that he battles. Instead of staying floor-bound like most Robot Masters, Pluto runs up walls and heckles you with homing shots. He acts like a hound and a man, and is one of the harder bosses in the game because of it. However, there are many sneakier than him!

Robot Master No. 9: Punk

Sneakiest Robot Masters | Top 10

I have to say, I absolutely love the Mega Man Killers. They are all unique-looking and full of swagger. But you’re probably wondering why Punk is on this list, and not Enker. The answer is quite simple. You go into the fight with Punk expecting a normal battle, and he goes and transforms into a saw blade! But, instead of zipping straight at you, he hops around like a manic flea! Fighting Punk is a definite challenge, and his unexpected tricks make him a real sneaky bastard.

Robot Master No. 8: Bubble Man

Sneakiest Robot Masters | Top 10

Some of you are probably scratching your heads now. You’re saying “He’s a guy in flippers, how the hell is that sneaky?” Which is a reasonable question. Here’s my answer – his stage. The whole Bubble Man level is underwater, so gravity is lighter and you jump super high with little to no effort. When you actually face him, his ceiling is lined with insta-death spikes, and he will try his hardest to force you to leap into them by assaulting you with a barrage of Bubble Lead and harpoons. That’s just nasty, and quite a bit sneaky.

Robot Master No. 7: Flash Man

Sneakiest Robot Masters | Top 10

Number 7 should be a much easier selection to understand. Flash Man is a nasty, nasty robot, even though he’s pretty weak. This is because he uses his Time Stopper to freeze you in mid-move and then bombards you with a barrage of bullets. This was the first time this gimmick was used in the series, but not the last. That earns him his spot.
