Tearaway

From Media Molecule, the same creators of the LittleBigPlanet series, comes a new 3D platformer by the name of Tearaway for the Playstation Vita. Tearaway isn’t like usual platformers though, it uses almost all of the Vita’s functions in some way, shape, or form. From blowing on the screen and making giant wind gusts to poking your finger into the world, it is possible to do almost anything. While some obstacles are easily spotted, there are some secretly placed puzzles that add a whole new challenge to the game. Another addition to the game is the advanced skinning. Unlike in LittleBigPlanet where you had to make your skins manually, Tearaway allows the player to take pictures with the Vita’s camera and add them to reskin objects in the game (this is just an elk at the moment). Tearaway comes to the Playstation Vita on October 22, 2013.

There will also be bonus content for pre-ordering the game. These were announced on the Playstation Blog, Some of these bonuses include:

  • Tearaway Soundtrack with bonus track
  • Iota and Atoi costumes for LittleBigPlanet
  • Exclusive skin for the in-game rideable pig, and printable papercraft plan to match
  • Iota and Atoi Avatars for use on PlayStation Network
  • PlayStation Vita Wallpaper

A gamer at heart, and a creator by trade. As a shy kid who grew up in a small town, my only solace was with the games that I enjoyed playing. That being said I enjoy just about every type of game, but more than anything I love playing horror/unique games. I look forward to sharing my knowledge of the strange and unusual with the world.
