Sword Art Online

You may remember that we covered Sword Art Online last year during its original run in Japan. Back then we could only wonder when it was going to be announced for an English release. Just recently, Aniplex USA confirmed that they will be releasing the series with an English dub, and that it will be featured as part of Neon Alley’s streaming service. Today Aniplex posted a trailer that features Kirito, Asuna, and a few other characters speaking in English.

What do you think of Bryce Papenbrook (Masaomi Kida in Durarara!!, Rin Okumura in Blue Exorcist) as Kirito and Cherami Leigh (Lucy Heartfilia in Fairy Tail, Shana in Shakugan no Shana) as Asuna? As one of 2012’s most popular anime series there will be many high expectations for the cast.

Also, if you’re a fan of Sword Art Online and you’d like to see what fellow oprainfall commentators thought about the series after it finished airing, check this out.
