1. Don Corneo and Fully Disguised Cloud (Final Fantasy VII)

Well they’re both from Final Fantasy VII, and one of them is Cloud, but instead of the obvious choice of Yuffie and Cait Sith we feel the unrequited love of Don Corneo and Cloud Strife is much more deserving of our No. 1 spot.

Don Corneo and Cloud

Don Corneo is the biggest sleaze ball of Midgar’s Section 6. Often residing in the Honey Bee Inn, which is a brothel for the patrons of Section 6, he likes to think of himself as bit of a ladies man. To get further information on Shinra, Tifa enters the Don’s mansion with a plan to beat the truth out of the town stud. Cloud and Aerith attempt to enter his mansion too, in order to rescue Tifa from being man-handled and to help her get the information. Unfortunately, Cloud is refused entry because of his manly looks… and the fact that he is a dude. Thus begins the quest to turn our hero into a more feminine version of himself – a dress, wig, make-up and even lingerie can be acquired to make Cloud Strife ever the beauty he was destined to be.

Once you gain entry to the mansion, you join Tifa in Don’s boudoir and Mr. Corneo will then decide out of Aerith, Tifa or Cloudette who he will be giving his jollies too. Providing Cloud is in full on drag mode, Don will excitingly choose him and proceed to thrust in his general direction. However, it’s all a bit futile as the cross-dressing, spiky haired protagonist eventually reveals his manly self to an exasperated and heartbroken Don, who in his emotional state disposes of the heroes to the sewers below. This heart-wrenching tale clearly shows that no other unrequited love story can top it. What? You were thinking of someone else?

David Rawlings
David Rawlings, or ‘Rawky’ as we like to call him, joined the Operation Rainfall Campaign at the beginning. He’s British and found solace with us as he was able to understand our pain about Nintendo and their localizing faux pas. He’s a big fan of the letter ‘U’ and refuses to remove them from words, even though we constantly ask him to. He also believes it’s about time Princess Daisy got kidnapped.
