1. Super Smash Bros. Melee

As if you didn’t know. Yes, even though we Operation Rainfall contributors are fans of JRPGs ,we also love a good scrap. When a game becomes one of the best selling games in the world, then you know it’s going to be good (usually) and Melee delivers on all accounts. There’s something so satisfying about smacking Princess Peach about, or booting Pikachu into the stratosphere. And above all else, this game is just pure fun. Sure, they’re people out there that have taken it quite seriously, with their tournaments and rules, but nothing beats having 4 players with items on.

Brawl may have been a disappointment for some (not me, I love that game), but we’re all anticipating the next entry in the Smash series. If it can top Melee in terms of content and gameplay, then Nintendo will surely have another best seller on their hands.

Tyson: “On the surface everything is so simple, yet you can dive into the game and find so much more.”

David Rawlings
David Rawlings, or ‘Rawky’ as we like to call him, joined the Operation Rainfall Campaign at the beginning. He’s British and found solace with us as he was able to understand our pain about Nintendo and their localizing faux pas. He’s a big fan of the letter ‘U’ and refuses to remove them from words, even though we constantly ask him to. He also believes it’s about time Princess Daisy got kidnapped.
