Retro Wrap-Up: Metroid Edition

Metroid has become somewhat of a hot button issue in the past couple of years, largely thanks to the latest entry’s…erm, polarizing nature. But let’s not focus on that. Instead, why don’t we focus on the first few games. Games that, I think we can all agree, are really good. And so, the Operation Rainfall Retro Commercial Research Team (in other words, me) will take a look at these games in this week’s Retro Wrap-Up.

Here are the highlights from this past week.

Monster Hunter 4G was announced for the 3DS. Literally hours later, Capcom revealed that the game would be coming to the West as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

Brad Williams reviews Broken Sword 5 – The Serpent’s Curse: Episode 1, Jeff Neuenschwander reviews Rune Factory 4 for the 3DS, and Josh Speer reviews Chibi-Robo!: Photo Finder for the 3DS eShop and Mischief Makers for the Nintendo 64 in this week’s Retro Review.

Some new screenshots from the alpha build of Mighty No. 9 have surfaced.

Renegade Kid has officially revealed Moon Chronicles, a 3DS episodic remake and expansion of the original Moon on the Nintendo DS.
