Project X Zone | oprainfall

Yesterday, Project X Zone was finally released in North America (the PAL region release being only a week away), and, to celebrate the occasion, Namco Bandai uploaded the game’s launch trailer on  YouTube. The simple minute-long montage that you will see features Namco Bandai’s, Sega’s and Capcom’s huge libraries of games being put to some good use. The vast amount characters from these companies makes up the huge cast for this crossover. Basically, this Nintendo 3DS exclusive is one giant gamer’s dream come true. You can check out the game’s trailer below:

Project X Zone was another story of the fan base acting in accordance to fear that the game would be yet another title passed over for localization. Much like Namco x Capcom before it, numerous reasons made the task seem not worth it. So they acted; fans started campaigns, petitions, begging on their own community forums, even somehow getting Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada involved, all to try and convince the upper management of Namco Bandai that localizing the game for Western regions was worth the risk.

Namco Bandai eventually did announce the Project X Zone’s localization, and its release would be no sooner than the Summer of this year- commence the internet rejoicing with tears of joy. Whether the fan outcry had any effect, we may never know, but, hey, we got the game in the end, and that’s all that matters. Now, if you’re one of those people who begged for Project X Zone, and you didn’t pre-order, now is the time to put your money where your mouth is.
