Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is a 3DS video game developed by SquareEnix, and directed by the same person who co-directed Chrono Trigger: Takashi Tokita. Also the producer for the game: Tomoya Asano was a producer for Final Fantasy IV and III for the DS systems. The hand drawn art in the game is made by Akihiko Yoshida, who is known for his character designs, and art design, in several titles, including: Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light.
Premise: Bravely Default is a Turn based/RPG, which goes back to the old SNES style, much like Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light did. It will contain random encounters, and it will also have multiple endings, but it’s not known yet what will trigger them, or how many there are. The game will feature four main characters; only two have been revealed so far, which are Tiz, and Agnes.
The game’s battle system is turn based, but not much else is known about it. There has been shown that Agnes uses a bow and arrow, and she is also seen holding a sword, which might suggest that she is capable of physical attacks too.
Tiz is also seen using a sword, and a shield.
The game follows the male character Tiz, who survived a great disaster, and he later travelled to the town Calderia, and later he meets Agnes, who is the guardian of a Wind Crystal.
Plot centers around these four Wind Crystals, which brought wind to the country, but the Wind Crystals got covered in darkness and the wind stopped blowing. Agnes hometown, which lies in the desert, suffers greatly because it relied heavily on wind, and is now using physical labor to make up for the lost wind.
Not only is Agnes hometown suffering, but there has also been a rise of volcanic activity.
There has been a demo released in Japan, and I it you’ll be able to play as Tiz, as he walks around in the town Calderia. There you’ll meet a person who will say to Tiz “Oh, it’s been a long time. A month, right?”. As you explore around in the city, you’ll be able to enter a shop, and buy a sword for Tiz (But you’re unable to enter a battle in the demo). You’ll also come across a magic shop, but its closed.
In another Japanese demo you control the character Agnes briefly, and then you use an AR card (That you print from this website) and you see a scene with Agnes going around the room.
