So I got a chance yesterday to play a little bit of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies (http://www NULL.ace-attorney NULL.com) at PAX Prime 2013. While there is some controversy regarding why it will be solely a downloadable game, I am here to dispel any doubts people may have about buying this game digitally. For fans, it will, of course, be an instant buy. But I would wager that even those new to the series would be happy.
First off, the graphical upgrade from the DS entries is instantly noticeable. For one, instead of 2D sprites, the game uses 3D models to better convey each and every distinct character. These models are absolutely wonderful and breathe new life into the series. Another upgrade is the use of a log, which retains dialogue and notes from witness testimony. Players will be allowed to review them anytime. In addition, the music is as good as ever, and the humor the series employs is intact.
All in all, I would highly recommend 3DS owners pick up Dual Destinies once it hits the eShop fall 2013.
