Note: This news article was written by the Bring “Bravely Default Flying Fairy” to the West campaign and is being hosted on the oprainfall website.

During Satoru Iwata’s (President of Nintendo) presentation at the recent Third Quarter Financial Results for Nintendo, he spoke about how Western Developers were more focused on developing for home consoles, and how not very many were interested in development for the 3DS. He then went on to say that the Japanese market was the exact opposite. Iwata then pointed out that this is causing an imbalance for the markets. In response to that fact,  he was quoted in saying:

“We therefore plan to more actively support the Japanese software developers in distributing their key titles overseas this year.” “Among those third-party titles both developed and published in Japan, there have been some games which Nintendo published in Europe, including the Professor Layton series. We will increase the number of such games for the U.S. market as well as in Europe. We are also willing to flexibly assist third-party developers in distributing their valuable games overseas.”

This is great news, not just for our campaign, but all of the games for Nintendo systems that we want to arrive in the west! We hope that an announcement will soon follow up on this, and with the recent localization announcement of Project X Zone, our hopes are higher than ever for any kind of announcement for Bravely Default!
