Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Logo

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate takes center-stage in this week’s Nintendo Download. A demo version of the game will be available on both the Wii U and 3DS eShop. The release date for both versions of the game is just about a month away! We’ve featured so much coverage on this game, it’s almost scary, so you can definitely count on someone, somewhere within the oprainfall Staff offering impressions of the demo before long.  In addition to the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Demo on Wii U, demos for Trine 2: Director’s Cut and Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing: Transformed (3DS) are available.

Speaking of franchises/games near and dear to some of usF-Zero has also been released on the Wii U Virtual Console this week (since yesterday!). It’s going to be 30 cents for a limited time. For a list of the games that will be offered at later dates as part of the Famicom Anniversary, best to check here (http://www NULL.nintendo NULL.com/wiiu/downloads/virtual-console/).

As much as I would love to report that certain Zelda games were announced for the North American Virtual Console this week, that news remains Japan-exclusive for now. Still, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons are bound to jump across the pond eventually.

UPDATE: As a matter of fact, Aonuma himself confirmed this sentiment on the The Legend of Zelda Miiverse announcements thread. Here it is, for those of who who can’t hop on your Wii U and check it out:

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/ Oracle of Ages will be released for Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS in Japan, but it’ll be a little while longer until they’re out in other territories. We’d like to ask for your patience until they’re ready for release. Thank you!

“A little while longer”, hmm? I suppose in the meantime, you can enjoy the other titles featured in this week’s Nintendo Download, which include Yoshi (3DS eShop, Ambassador title), Picdun 2: Witch’s Curse (3DS eShop) and Viking Invasion 2 – Tower Defense (3DS eShop).

Also relevant to this week’s Nintendo Download: Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is coming to retail and the Nintendo eShop on February 26th!
