UPDATE: While it was initially reported that Pokemon Bank would be coming on December 27th, a recent announcement from Nintendo has changed that. Due to large traffic volumes on the eShop as new 3DS and Wii U users set up Nintendo Network IDs, the Pokemon Bank and Pokemon Transporter will be delayed until further notice.

Pokemon Bank - Nintendo Download | oprainfall

It’s the last Nintendo Download of the year. On the Wii U, we finish off the Year of Luigi with Dr. Luigi for $14.99, which will be available on December 31st. There’s also Super Punch Out!! for the SNES ($7.99) for the Virtual Console and a special Wii Sports Club promotion. From 12:01 AM PST on December 31st to 11:59 AM PST on January 1st, all three available Wii Sports Club games will be free for everybody to play. This includes Bowling, Golf and Tennis.

Meanwhile, the 3DS gets EDGE by Two Tribes today and the long-awaited Pokemon Bank. This app has a $4.99 yearly subscription fee, but if you download it between that day until the end of January, you’ll get to try it out for a full month. In addition, the 3DS Virtual Console gets Mario Tennis for the Game Boy Color ($4.99).

Finally, there are a lot of promotions happening on both the Wii U and 3DS eShops. Ubisoft is having a 30% discount on select titles, including Assassin’s Creed III and ZombiU. Meanwhile, the Atlus has discounts on several of its games, including Shin Megami Tensei IV ($29.99), Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked ($19.99), Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner – Soul Hackers ($19.99), Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan ($19.99), Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millenium Girl ($29.99), and Code of Princess ($19.99) until January 6th.

Keep in mind that the Nintendo eShops are still having difficulties at the time of this writing. Hopefully, they’ll be back up soon.

Press Release will be added shortly.
