More Monster Hunter 4 Gameplay Footage

Capcom has even more gameplay footage to showcase Monster Hunter 4′s new and improved battle mechanics, and its huge, open world.

Monster Hunter 4 is set to release next year in Japan, with no word on a North American release.

Oh man, I am so looking forward to this game. I’ve been playing Tri to death the last few days and I don’t plan to stop. I love that you can attack while climbing now, and that you can actually jump on to monsters and hack at them from there. It’s pretty sweet.

I’ve never gotten into the Monster Hunter series. I found the combat in Tri to be really slow and clunky and controls to be needlessly complicated. This game seems to rectify some of the complaints I have against the series by offering more dynamic combat. I just hope it gets to the US.
