The newly released game to dominate the Media Create charts this week is Little Battlers eXperience W, for the PSP and PSVita. It’s a game by Level-5 about small plastic Gundam-esque robots that fight each other on cardboard dioramas. The series also has its own anime, so it doesn’t take an expert to figure out that this most certainly is quite the hit among Japanese kids. Suffice to say, these sales do not come as a shock.
In more interesting news, Bravely Default maintains a solid third place in this week’s Media Create sales. Could this apparent success result in an eventual localisation? I certainly hope so, as do many of you too I am sure.
It is pleasing to see some Vita presence on the charts this week in the form of the new Falcom game: The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki – Evolution. Considering the generally low number of sales of Vitas, it’s impossible to say if the game might face localization based on these figures alone. The Vita is in dire need of great games though, especially RPG’s, so I sincerely hope this gets a translation. A lot of Ys games have been getting new releases in the west lately (via the glorious publisher XSEED Games), so the best course of action is buying some of these if we want Falcom to know that we’d support subsequent localizations of their new Vita games.
