Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney

Ace Attorney fans will be excited to hear that Famitsu has announced an Ace Attorney collection for the Nintendo 3DS. The collection will include the first three games in the series, known in the West as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice for All, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations.

Although 3D effects will be added to the games, it does not appear that the collection will feature full remakes of the original trilogy. As was true with the DS versions of the games, an English-language option will be available for all three games in the collection. The box art for the collection will be drawn by Tatsuro Iwamoto, the artist who did the box art for the first three games.

The collection is set for release in Japan April 17th and will cost ¥3,990. Those who pre-order the game will receive a download code for some original artwork and specially arranged versions of the series’ background music. The announcement also disclosed that a new drama CD will be released at the same time as the collection featuring Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth, and Godot, who will be making his debut in an Ace Attorney audio production.

Unfortunately, there’s no news yet about whether or not we will see this collection in the West, but we’ll certainly keep you posted. In the meantime, be sure to check out our review of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies and stay tuned for more Ace Attorney-related news!
