Like me, you were probably hoping to see what Retro Studios was working on at this year’s E3. And, like me, you were probably incredibly disappointed when you got a big pile of nothing. Hate to make you even more depressed, but don’t expect any info to come out for a while.

IGN recently interviewed Reggie Fils-Aime about the Wii U. When asked about the status of Retro Studios’ next game, the Meat Man said that we shouldn’t expect any new info on it anytime soon.

“… if I disclosed what Retro is doing, I would have the president of Retro literally calling me right now saying, ‘Reggie, what are you doing?’ We love that people are interested. We love surprising people. I remember getting the questions before we announced Donkey Kong Country Returns. And I loved unveiling that. So… Rest assured, the team is hard at work. But I’m not gonna tell you what they’re working on.”

Hopefully we’ll see Retro Studios’ latest work at next year’s E3.
