Shinji Hashimoto Mentions Possible Final Fantasy HD Remakes | oprainfall
Thank you, SGCafe, for this wonderful image!

During an interview with SGCafe, Square Enix’s Shinji Hashimoto and Motomu Toriyama mentioned how well Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster was selling in Japan. Previously only expressing an interest in making an HD re-release of Final Fantasy XII International, Hashimoto seemed to be more firm in his words, stating that, “At this moment, we do not have any plans [to release an HD-remastered version of Final Fantasy XII]. But as Kitase-san has mentioned, if there are a lot of requests from the fans for an HD-remastered version of Final Fantasy XII, we might consider it.”

This is exciting news, as the International version of Final Fantasy XII was better-received among the general public. Boasting a superior Zodiac Job Class System, which completely redefined the gameplay mechanics, and having some of the most gorgeous environments on the PlayStation 2, this definitely would be a title to get excited about and show your support for!

While the cries for Final Fantasy VII HD may not have yielded results, having the possibility of yet another HD remake brings us one game closer.
