Sony, who is in a giving mood lately, is now giving us 6 free games for our Vita’s or PlayStation certified devices (http://www NULL.playstation NULL.com/psm/certified NULL.html). The games will be coming to us on consecutive Wednesdays and will be available from now until February 19, 2013. You can check the Store update page (http://blog NULL.us NULL.playstation NULL.com/tag/playstation-store/) on Tuesdays to see which game will be available for free that week.

The games will be coming to us through the PlayStation Mobile Store. For those of you who are not familiar with downloading via the mobile store, Playstation.com has provided us with some instructions.

If you’ve never downloaded a game from the Mobile store, now’s the time to check it out. PS Vita owners can simply head to the PlayStation Mobile Section of the PlayStation Store. People with Sony Smartphones or Tablets, or folks with HTC Android devices that are PlayStation Certified just need to download and install the PlayStation Mobile Android App. From there, you’ll have access to all of the PlayStation Mobile games!

To kick things off, the first game we will be receiving will be  Samurai Beatdown, which is described by them as a “fast paced, side scrolling slash em up that pits your samurai rhythm skills against waves and waves of evil demons. “

Let’s all be sure to give Sony a decent thank you for providing us with 6 free titles. I for one am excited to find out what other games will be offered. Anything specific that you guys would love to see available in this deal?
